Jos Williams was co-ordinator of the project for a few years before handing over the “Golden shovel” to Ernie Kingman

A replica station sign was made by Ron Watson Jones and can be seen on the platform

In the winter of 2004/5 the sign was taken down and given a fresh coat of paint by Ernie

Tal-y-Cafn has had a number of distinguished visitors, some coming by special train.
