Approximately 65 members
and friends took part in the visit. Too many to fit into the carriage, so some
had to ride in the loco cab and some stayed behind to photograph the train
leaving.
After the train ride and
when all the other trains had finished work we had
a rare opportunity to visit the loco shed and workshops.
Steam
loco No.5 was inside the works in need of boiler repairs, together with some of
the coaches.
Four locos were in
steam. They are left outside over night as their fires are kept alight.
