During the 2005 Christmas – New Year holiday period the F.R. used coal fired locos TALIESIN and PALMERSTON on trains to Blaenau Ffestiniog On a very misty 30 December 2005, Tom did well to take photos of the two locos at Blaenau Ffestiniogtogether with the connecting Conwy Valley line 153 train
Surprisingly there are only eleven years between the building of
the 153 and TALIESIN, The 153 is the oldest
PALMERSTON
built 1863
